Why Van Alstyne Homeowners Choose Warrior Restoration

Extraction, Drying and the Rebuild Under One Scope

A response unit leaves loaded for the whole first visit, and the list on it doesn't change with the job: calibrated moisture meters and a thermal imaging camera, high-velocity air movers, industrial dehumidifiers, Injectidry wall-cavity panels, HEPA vacuums, portable extraction units and a generator. That's what lets a first visit finish with the water off the floor and the dehumidifiers already running.

Warrior Restoration is owner-operated. Six people, three response units, and Justin is on the jobs. Demolition, drywall, texture, trim, paint and flooring are ours as well, so the same hands that take the wet material out put the room back together, and your carrier reads one scope with one company on it.

What We Do

Our Comprehensive Water Damage Services

Which of these a house needs comes down to where the water started and what it crossed on the way. Every one of them is our own crew, on equipment we own.

Emergency Water Extraction

Portable extraction units lift the free water off tile, wood, carpet and the pad under it. Water taken up early is water that never gets the chance to soak into a subfloor or a bottom plate, where it takes days to get back out.

Flood Damage Cleanup

Water that has come across a yard or back up out of a drain line brings what it crossed with it. Porous material that soaked it up leaves the house instead of drying in place, HEPA vacuums clear the debris, and what stays gets an antimicrobial.

Structural Drying

Industrial dehumidifiers and high-velocity air movers are two halves of one job: the movers keep moisture leaving the material, the dehumidifiers take it back out of the air. How many go in, and which way they face, follows the readings and gets reset as they fall.

Moisture Mapping

Calibrated meters and a thermal imaging camera go over the house before anything is opened up. Between them they separate material that is wet from material that only looks it, and the demolition line gets drawn on what they read.

Wall-Cavity Drying

Injectidry panels put air behind the drywall through a set of small ports, so the insulation and framing inside dry without the wall coming off. On the drywall-over-OSB walls most of this town is built from, that is what decides whether the bottom two feet come off at all.

Roof-Leak Water Repair

The inside of a roof leak is ours: soaked attic insulation down, the ceiling assembly and the cavities under it dried, then board, texture, trim and paint. Tarping and board-up shut the opening in the meantime. Exterior roof repair and replacement is Warrior Roofing, the sister company under the same ownership.

Mold Prevention

Mold needs material that stays wet, so drying speed is the prevention and a meter reading is what proves it. The surfaces that stayed wet the longest get an antimicrobial while the equipment runs. Where growth has already started, it stops being a water scope and becomes a mold remediation one, and if the job needs an independent licensed mold assessor, the testing and the written clearance come from that assessor.

Repairs & Reconstruction

New board, tape, float and a texture matched to the wall it meets, then the trim, the paint and the floor covering. The crew on both sides of the drying is the same one, so the rebuild starts as soon as the meters allow it.

How We Work

Inside a Water Damage Restoration Project

The order doesn't change. What changes is how long the drying part of it takes, and that's settled by what the materials read rather than by a date somebody picked on day one.

Emergency Assessment

The first thing to settle is whether the house is still taking on water. If a valve will stop it, we close it; repairing the line or the fixture that failed is a plumber's job, not ours. How the water got in, and how far it has already travelled, is ours to work out. Then the house is read with calibrated moisture meters and a thermal camera. That visit costs nothing, and neither does the estimate written from it.

Water Extraction

Portable units take the standing water up. Carpet pad, soaked insulation and swollen baseboard leave on the same visit, because none of that gives water back where it sits.

Structural Drying

Air movers and dehumidifiers go in against what the moisture map shows rather than the size of the room, with Injectidry panels on the cavities that can dry with the board left on. Where the power is off, they run from a generator.

Moisture Monitoring

Each return reads the same points on the same meters. Those numbers are what move a machine, pull one out, or let the rebuild start, and a material counts as dry when its reading holds at the standard for that material.

Repairs Begin

Nothing gets covered while it's still reading wet. Once the readings hold, the flooring substrate goes down, insulation goes in and new board goes up. Anything the drying exposes that the original approval left out reaches your carrier as a supplement before the rebuild goes on top of it.

Final Reconstruction

Paint, the last of the trim and the floor covering go on, and the machines come out with them.

Insurance Claims

We Handle Your Insurance Claim from Start to Finish

Warrior Restoration is a restoration contractor, not a public adjuster. The scope your carrier prices is written on this end, in Estimate Rocket, and it's built from what the meters and the camera found rather than from how the room looked. When the price that comes back won't cover the repair as scoped, those items are taken back to the adjuster. If someone has already brought a public adjuster onto your claim, we work with them too.

  • We bill your insurance carrier directly. We coordinate with your carrier's adjuster and submit the complete scope of damage.
  • We meet adjusters on site. We walk the property with the adjuster so hidden moisture gets documented before approval, not discovered afterward.
  • We file supplements. If drying uncovers damage the original approval didn't cover, we file supplements straight with your carrier.
  • You never owe us anything beyond the deductible. We accept the carrier's approved amount minus your deductible as payment in full.
  • We handle mortgage company checks. If your lender's name is on the insurance check, we coordinate directly with them to get funds released.

Water Damage in Van Alstyne

The Crew That Comes Out Lives Here

Warrior Restoration belongs to Justin Miller, who is a disabled veteran and is on the jobs himself. Van Alstyne is where he lives and where the company works from. When the wet house is in this town, the crew reading it is a crew from this town.

That matters at the first question on any water call, which is about the building rather than the water. What the walls and the floor are made of decides what can dry where it sits and what has to come out, and the answer isn't the same on both sides of this town. Outside the Historic Downtown blocks, nearly all of Van Alstyne is modern slab-on-grade: PEX or copper supply lines and drywall over OSB. The town's median build year is 2005, which is the era those materials come from.

Water in that kind of build runs flat instead of down. It travels under the flooring, wicks up into the bottom plate and gets into rooms that still look dry from the doorway, which makes the wet patch on the carpet the middle of the affected area and not the edge of it. Finding the edge is the work the thermal camera and the meters do on the first visit, and what comes out of the house follows that and nothing else.

None of that changes what a water loss needs. It changes who is standing in it with you. The company whose name goes on the scope your carrier reads is a Van Alstyne company, and the people who come back to read the meters live in the town too.

STILL GOT QUESTIONS?

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions that come up most often when the water's in a Van Alstyne house. For the rest, call (903) 993-5663.

Yes. Six people, three response units, and Van Alstyne is where they work from. The same crew takes a call from a street in this town and a call from anywhere else in Grayson County.
It changes the demolition more than it changes the drying. The downtown blocks still hold commercial and residential buildings from the 1870s through the 1900s, restored rather than replaced. Where a wall in one of them turns out to be plaster over lath, or masonry behind it, that assembly holds water long after the room feels dry, and it can't be cut the way drywall is cut: what comes off it can't be bought back. So the plan leans on Injectidry panels and on more time under the meters before anything is closed up.
Yes. Highpoint Village is planned for roughly 2,200 homes across 667 acres with seven builders on it, and every one of those houses has the same supply fittings, appliance connections and water heater any other house has. What a young house doesn't have is anybody who has ever had to find out where its water goes. That's the part the camera and the meters do on the first visit.
Nothing, and that holds whether you hire us or not. The estimate that comes with it is priced off what the meters and the camera found in your house, so it covers what is actually wet rather than a guess at how far it went. On an approved claim your deductible is your part of it.
Yes. A severe thunderstorm on Sunday 21 September 2025 put 1.5-inch hail on the town and left multiple downed power and cable lines, a gas leak contained at the meter and a snapped pole, according to the police chief. Drying equipment runs on electricity and doesn't care whose, and every response unit carries a generator, so the dry-out can start at an address the utility hasn't got back to yet.
No. Water moves the whole time nobody's doing anything about it: under the flooring, into the bottom plate, up the back of the drywall. Waiting for business hours widens what has to be cut out of the house. The line is answered at any hour, holidays included.
